Warranty & Repairs
1. Our Commitment
Whether it is your always-on tone machine or a rare collector’s piece, we treat every Kleissonic pedal with the same care we put into building it. We want your pedal to keep inspiring you in every setting, from the stage to the studio.
2. Warranty Coverage
All Kleissonic pedals include a 5-year limited warranty that covers defects in parts and workmanship under normal use. If something goes wrong because of how the pedal was made (not how it was used), we will repair it or replace it free of charge.
Please note:
- This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable
- A valid proof of purchase from an authorized Kleissonic dealer is required for warranty claims
- Pedals purchased directly from www.kleissonic.com are automatically covered
Exception:
No exceptions.
Covered by Warranty:
- Faulty components
- Internal part failure not caused by misuse
- Manufacturing or workmanship defects
Not Covered by Warranty:
- Damage from misuse, abuse, or accidents (e.g. power surges, drops, liquid spills)
- Cosmetic wear or enclosure damage
- Issues caused by incorrect power supply (all pedals require 9V DC center-negative, unless otherwisenoted)
- Modifications or unauthorized repairs
- Secondhand purchases without proof of original purchase
We will always do our best to find a solution, even for cases not covered under warranty.
3. Before Requesting a Repair
Before contacting us, please check the following. Many issues are caused by simple things:
- Power Supply: Ensure you are using a proper power source. Avoid daisy chains and non-isolated units.
- Cables and Signal Chain: Try different cables or move the pedal to another position in your chain.
- Switches and Jacks: Wiggle cables gently and tap knobs or switches to check for poor connections.
- Modifications or DIY Repairs: Let us know if the pedal has been opened or altered. This will not disqualify it from a paid repair but helps us assess faster.
- True Bypass Silence: If your pedal is true bypass and you hear silence when it is off, the problem may be elsewhere in your setup.
If the issue persists, we are here to help.
4. How to Request a Repair
Before sending your pedal, please email as via contact form with the following:
- Your full name and return address
- Pedal model
- Description of the issue
- Photo of the inside of the pedal
- Short video showing the problem, if possible
- Proof of purchase (required for warranty claims)
We will respond with instructions and shipping details.
Do not send your pedal without contacting us first. Unannounced packages may be delayed or returned.
5. Shipping Terms for Warranty Repairs
For issues reported within 30 days of delivery (EU customers only):
We cover shipping both to and from our workshop.
For customers outside the EU or after 30 days:
You cover the cost of shipping the pedal to us. We cover the return shipping once the repair is complete.
Use a tracked and insured shipping method. We are not responsible for lost or damaged shipments.
Important for international customers:
Clearly label the package as:
“Return for Repair – No Commercial Value”
This avoids customs delays or additional charges. We are not responsible for fees caused by incorrect labeling.
6. Non-Warranty Repairs
We are happy to repair any Kleissonic pedals even if they are no longer under warranty or the issue is not covered.
- Flat bench fee: $/€30 (covers inspection and most basic repairs)
- If extra work, rare parts, or circuit restoration is required, we will send a quote for your approval
- Shipping both ways is your responsibility
7. International Customers
We repair Kleissonic pedals worldwide. Follow the shipping instructions listed in Section 5.
If you are unsure about customs declarations or shipping methods, contact us before sending your pedal.
8. Turnaround Time
Once your pedal arrives, our goal is to complete repairs within 10 to 15 business days.
If there is a delay due to holidays, workload, or part availability, we will keep you informed.
